women's roles and accomplishments, issues facing women in the world
today, and the significance of gender in shaping the experience of
communities and individuals. The program is committed to a
multicultural curriculum that sustains and integrates diverse
perspectives. Women's and Gender Studies classes emphasize
participatory education in which student collaboration, critical
thinking, and personal insight are encouraged.
